Before we jump into all the fun things to do in Eau Claire Wisconsin, I need to tell you about the great place we stayed! The Lismore is right downtown and in walking distance to so many things. We loved our room, the staff, and the rooftop deck!

Explore River Prairie
Get outside at one of the coolest parks we’ve been to! River Prairie offers great walking trails along the river, but also an interactive park that encourages kids to explore the nature around them. Wish we had one of these in our neighborhood!
Kayak the Eau Claire River
We brought our own kayaks to explore the rivers surrounding Eau Claire. A recommended route is to get in at River Prairie and then take the Eau Claire River to Phoenix Park. You’ll pass beautiful sights on the route, including many of the bridges in the city!

Eat at Valley Burger Co
The best burgers in Eau Claire can be found at Valley Burger Co. This little spot offers 4 different hand made burgers and they do them well. We tried the Wisco-Whiz and Say Cheese. Chef’s kiss!!

Fuel up at Shift Cyclery and Coffee Bar
The coolest coffee spot in Eau Claire has to be Shift Cyclery and Coffee Bar. We ordered coffee, their famous waffles, and wandered around the bike shop. It’s so cute!
Grab a sandwich at Eau Claire Cheese & Deli
Eau Claire Cheese & Deli might just be the most underrated place in Eau Claire. It’s a local favorite and has amazing sandwiches along with cheese and snacks you can purchase for later! A great lunch stop!
Get a local beer at The Brewing Projekt
The Brewing Projekt is a can’t miss in Eau Claire. It has expansive indoor and outdoor seating, even along the river! It’s laid back and dog friendly. And most importantly has great beer.
Play games at The Reboot Social
Check out The Reboot Social for great bar classics, along with an insane list of games. Duckpin bowling, pinball machines, classic arcade, just to name a few! So fun for a night out!
Sip on coffee at ECDC
ECDC is located in the Lismore Hotel in downtown Eau Claire (this is where we stayed!). We loved the coffee, atmosphere, and the avocado toast!
Get a cheese board at 3rd and Vine
3rd and Vine is our kind of place! You’ll find craft beer, cheese, and wine here. We love a good cheese board, and their sandwiches were also amazing. Plus they have a little spot for kids to play too!
Have a treat at Olson’s Ice Cream
Olson’s Ice Cream is an Eau Claire classic. Stop in for ice cream and other treats (like popcorn) too!

Shop for gifts at The Local Store
The local store is exactly what it sounds like. It has everything local to Eau Claire and Wisconsin that you could ever want! Great for gifts and even curating local brews and cheese boards!
Get something unique at Raggedy Man
This shop is so fun and eclectic. You’ll find fun things that you won’t find in any other shop, with lots of local items too!
Score something awesome at Seven Suns Vintage
I love a good vintage spot and Seven Suns Vintage is really pulling together the best of the best. The wall of boots deserves a photo on my wall. So awesome!
Get your music fix at Revival Records
We rarely find dedicated record stores in our travels, so when you find a good one you have to write about it! Revival Records has everything from vintage records to today’s hits. Could spend hours in here!
There’s so many fun things to do in Eau Claire Wisconsin, we need to come back! Highly recommend a weekend getaway here!
