Next time you fly into Bozeman, Montana, make sure to make a stop to ski Bridger Bowl before making your way to Big Sky! We skied here for a day before we picked up a friend from the airport and fell in love! Here’s 5 reasons why you need to ski Bridger Bowl, too.

Location
If you fly or drive into Bozeman, Montana but don’t want to make another hour long trip into Big Sky, Bridger Bowl is such a good option! Or if you’re like us and want variety in your travels…it’s also a must try! Located about 30 minutes from the Bozeman airport, Bridger Bowl was a super quick trip to and from the airport and town. So easy!
Non-profit
Did you know Bridger Bowl is a non-profit ski area? Neither did I before skiing there! They are a local, community ski area and because of that their price point is a lot lower than other ski destinations in Montana. For the 2018-2019 season a single-day adult pass is only $63 per person. Not bad for a full day of skiing!
Less-busy
a
Because so many people who fly into Bozeman head right to Big Sky, Bridger Bowl is often overlooked. And you know what that means – less people to navigate through! And no lines! We almost felt like we had the mountain to ourselves.
Skilled runs
Just because Bridger Bowl isn’t as popular and big as Big Sky doesn’t mean the skiing isn’t as good. Bridger Bowl allows all levels of skiers, but if you’re looking for a challenge this spot is for you! We spent our time in the bowls and had a blast navigating the terrain. This was by far the most challenging ski day I’ve ever had!
After-ski beers at Map
It’s not really a ski day without a post-ski beer, right? Because Bridger Bowl is so close to town, we headed right to Map Brewing in Bozeman for some drinks and dinner. I was so exhausted after our ski day I forgot to take a photo of my food but the pulled pork sandwich was delicious. Be sure to stop by if you have the time!

I would take the whole “less busy” part out of your post. Bridger is pretty blown out at this point unfortunately. I’m glad you enjoyed it during its prime:(
This is the way it was when we visited!
