📍 @goldenmantrees is located in Zimmerman MN, about 40 minutes North of the Twin Cities

🎄 We chose a Balsam Fir but there were so many other kinds to choose from. They provided saws to cut down our own tree

🚗 They shake, bail, and tie the tree to the roof of your car

🍬 Free candy canes and apple cider

☕️ On site coffee shop with specialty coffee drinks and other treats

🖍️ Free kids coloring station and scavenger hunt

🚜 Free wagon ride through the trees

🎁 Gift shop with local and unique gifts for all ages

Love these activities with both friends and family of all ages!

1. @moi_mallofamerica is full of illusion rooms that trick the mind and make for great photo ops! We always laugh nonstop while here. They’ll have a 30% sale for Black Friday (11/29-12/2). Valid Monday-Fridays through January 31. You can get the tickets at the link in my BIO!

2. @cancanwonderland has artist-designed mini golf and all you can play retro arcade games. Plus food and drinks!

3. @activategames is an immersive gaming experience that’s both mentally and physically challenging. Like a real life video game!

Trains leave out of @uniondepot in St. Paul so start your day there before you even board!

Heres how we planned our day - including time stamps!

9:30 am: Get brunch at @1881bylei
10:30 am: Grab a new book at @storylinebooksmn
11:00 am: play at @choo_choo_bobs
11:45 am: get a coffee @lowertownbikeshop
12:00 pm: board the train!
12:50 pm: arrive in Red Wing
5:40 pm: depart Red Wing

We took an @amtrak train and coach seats were only $7!

Go this weekend! Little falls is 1.5 hours north of the Twin Cities - here’s all the details to spend a day there!

🍁 Charles Lindbergh State Park: take the easy trail around the stream and cross two pretty footbridges

🍺 @starryeyedbrewing: great indoor and outdoor seating with options for beer, cider, and seltzers.

🦙 @pinegrovezoo_littlefalls: We LOVED this little zoo. No crowds and so well done!

🎣 Minnesota Fishing Museum: A fun spot to bring family or friends who love fishing. I loved all the vintage boats and gear!

☕️ @little.falls.bakery.and.deli: get festive treats and coffee here!

Day trips with this little fam are my favorite thing in the whole world. So lucky they are all mine! ❤️

We spent the day in Little Falls, MN, about 1.5 hours from the twin cities and it was such a fun spot with the kids! Here’s where we stopped:

Find @electrictrails right on highway 61 near Lutsen MN!

They give you all the gear, lessons on how to ride (super easy to learn!), and trail options.

We took the Gitchi Gami trail to the Temperance River State Park all the way to Oberg mountain which offers the best fall views around! The colors were still pretty green from a few weeks ago, but they will be prime over the next few weeks!

Pricing starts at $69 for a 2 hour rental.
