Hastings is only 40 minutes from Minneapolis - here’s the details of how we spent our day!

@quarrytaphouse - we stopped here for lunch and rock throwing! Super unique and fun activity to do when it’s cold outside! There’s also fun digging equipment for all ages. No reservations required, play is on a first come first serve basis.

Vermillion Falls - Vermillion Falls park has great paved walking paths that follow the river and overlook the falls. So cool to see frozen in winter!

Shopping - Downtown Hastings is full of boutiques and antique shops. We loved RiverCity Popcorn and Candy Co and @squeakywheel_pottery!

❄️ The Vulcan Snow Park is a FREE event and now open daily until 9 pm through February 2nd. Live sculpting is happening this weekend and ends Sunday the 26th - finished sculptures are on display through the 2nd!

📍 The Vulcan Snow Park is located on the kidway at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Parking is free!

❄️ @icecastles_mn is a ticketed event, and tickets must be purchased online in advance. Prices range from $12 - $24 per ticket. Under 4 are free! Open now through February 17th.
