Toddler Travel Essentials
Toddler Sleep Must Haves
You can’t have a successful trip without a good night’s rest, here are my top 5 products to help you get a good night’s rest while out of the house!

- JetKids by Stokke Bedbox: This is a rolling suitcase that kids can sit on while you pull it! Great for the kid who never wants to walk.
- hiccapop inflatable toddler bed: Inflatable beds are great once your toddler grows out of their pack and play. This fits under the slumberpod too!
- Slumberpod: THE BEST thing you can buy for baby and toddler travel! This sleep tent goes over a pack and play or toddler air mattress and blocks out all light – perfect for nap time and early bed times (especially in hotels so you can still stay up with the lights on while your little one sleeps!)
- Baby waterproof bedpad: A must for the pottytraining toddler – bring this with you so you aren’t changing sheets during your stay!
- Yogasleep Hushh portable white noise sound machine: This is the sound machine we’ve had for years and love it. Great for drowning out noise while on the go – and it clips to all sorts of things (like stroller, slumberpod, etc!)
Toddler Packing Essentials
It’s important to stay organized while traveling with a toddler and these products help keep all of their things contained!

- Gorilla Grip Car Seat: Use this to check carseats for flights rather than just checking without a bag. It provides protection and also serves as a bonus spot to put other baby items you want to check! Plus it has backpack straps making it so much easier to carry.
- Veken 8 Pack Packing Cubes: Get a packing cube set in a different color for each member of your family. We love these! We’re able to pack so much more and stay organized.
- Fjallraven Mini Backpack: These are the perfect sized backpacks for toddlers! Our daughter users hers as her carry-on bag on flights and fills it with snacks and toys – plus she carries it on her own!
- Jarlink 18 pack mesh pouches: We use these for EVERYTHING, not just travel! They’re great for toys you want to keep together, crayons, pool items, etc. We even use the larger bags for an extra set of clothes for both kids that I pack in my carry on bag.
- Frida Baby Fold-and-Go potty seat: If you’re potty training while on the go, unfamiliar toilets may be scary for your little one. This foldable potty seat easily fits in a bag or backpack and helps them feel much more comfortable and at home.
- Lascal BuggyBoard Maxi: This buggy board attaches on all types of strollers and allows your toddler to stand while you push the stroller. Great for them to hop on and off of, and also a great option if you don’t want to buy a double stroller once you have a second kid!
Toddler Eating Essentials
Let’s face it, these kids live on snacks and they are a MUST for traveling with toddlers. Here are my favorite items to use while traveling when I hear “I want a snack!”

- GoBe Kids Snack Spinner: This makes snacking so fun! Press the button in the middle to spin the opening to the next snack.
- WeeSprout Snack Containers: Our favorite snack containers for our baby and toddler that are easy to use and spill free!
- Contigo Waterbottle: We’ve tried SO MANY water bottles. These are our favorite because they don’t leak, use a straw, and they have a cover over the straw.
- Vomit Bags: You’ll thank me later when you buy these. We always have some on hand in the car and in our carry on bags.
Toddler Toy Essentials
You can’t travel with a toddler without toys, but you have to get creative as they have to be small and easy to contain so you don’t lose the pieces. These kept my toddler entertained for multiple flights and road trips!

- Toddler Camera: Our daughter’s favorite toy to bring when we travel! And it’s so fun to see our adventures through her eyes. Easy to use, and there’s different modes to play around it – she’ll be able to have fun with it for years to come.
- Wooden Shapes: We love this toy for use in restaurants. It’s small and is something different and gets the creative juices flowing.
- Doodle Board: Great for the kid who loves to draw! This coloring board erases with the press of a button. Plus it’s super lightweight.
- Eye Found it game: If your kid loves Disney and/or eye spy games, this is a must buy! It’s a small card game that challenges kids to find hidden objects in Disney movie scenes.
- Magnetic Blocks: These little cubes are so fun to build different things with. They’re magnetic which helps them not fall on the floor as much when you’re in the car, on the plane, or in a restaurant!
- Magnetic Puzzle: If your kid loves puzzles but you hate losing all the pieces, try this magnetic puzzle. It’s double sided with 2 puzzles total and is great for being on the go.
- Reusable Stickers:These reusable sticker scenes have been a favorite of our daughter for years!
- Water Wow: If you don’t want the mess of markers, this water wow only requires water to work. Simple fill up the pen and your kid can color over the images to unveil colors like magic!
- Headphones: We love these headphones that fit our toddlers head and have controls so that the sound can’t go over a certain limit to hurt their ears.
- Indestructibles Books: These are the most lightweight books for travel, plus they are indestructible in that they can get wet and can’t be ripped!
- Magnetic Sorting Maze: This little game will keep your little one busy and is a great alternative to screen time!
- Triangle Crayons: If you’re sick of crayons falling on the floor, get these triangle crayons. They’re a game changer for restaurants and flights!
These items helped keep me sane during long flights and road trips and I hope they help you, too! What other items helped you travel with your toddler? For the full list of items (and other helpful lists), check out my amazon storefront!
