Keg and Case St. Paul Market

Keg and Case St. Paul Market

The new Keg and Case St. Paul Market opened in the old Schmidt Brewery building last Friday. I couldn’t wait to go check it out, so Cole and I headed there as soon as we were done with work on Wednesday!

The Keg and Case St. Paul Market houses all sorts of local makers, including restaurants, artists, treats, and a brewery. After talking to most of the shop owners, we learned that it gets really busy on the weekends, so go on a weeknight for fewer crowds!

We didn’t have time to make it to every spot (I WILL be going back!) but keep scrolling for our favorite finds at the Keg and Case St. Paul Market! Also note, that as of September 19th, not many of the main restaurants were open yet, but should be in a week or so.

The entire second floor of the market is the home of Clutch Brewing. The beer is even brewed here! Plenty of casual seating is available overlooking and wrapping around the entire market, so you can grab a beer and seek out your next stop below. If you’re a fan of IPAs like me, try the Outta Style! It’s an American cream ale and so yummy!

Spinning Wylde

Who knew cotton candy had so many flavors?? Apparently “pink” isn’t considered a flavor at Spinning Wylde 🙂 This cotton candy is made with organic cane sugar and no dyes. They offer over 50 (WHAT?!) flavors like honey rose (pictured above) and even cookies and cream! Keep your eye out for stuffed cotton candy coming soon that consists of flavors like smores wrapped around a marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker. YES.

Have you ever heard of Switchel? Me either! You heard it here first, this will be the next big thing. It reminds me of kombucha, but is brewed instead of fermented. It’s made with cider vinegar, honey, and ginger and has many digestive health benefits. We tried a few flavors from the tap at Hobby Farmer Canning Company and grabbed some bottles to bring home with us to use in drink recipes the owner gave us – so look for those soon!

StudioEmme

The cutest shop award goes to StudioEmme. I had to resist myself from buying all the succulents. Fresh flowers and plants can be found here along with cards, vases, and candles. The perfect place to grab a quick gift for someone!

Croix Valley Foods

I love trying different things so when I saw blueberry, rhubarb, and cranberry BBQ sauce, I had to stop in! I think we sampled every flavor of sauce and dry rub at Croix Valley Foods. The grillmasters will be all over this place. Be sure to snag some of their micro batch of tequila lime grilling glaze made specially for the market!

HandMod

HandMod is a woodshop that uses all reclaimed material in their creations! Even the retro newspaper that’s used was found inside walls of old Minneapolis and St. Paul homes. So crazy! There’s so many unique finds here that are perfect for a love of all things Minnesota!

Sweet Science Ice Cream

I don’t say this lightly, but this might be the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Sweet Science Ice Cream uses all organic ingredients and the waffle cones are made fresh right in front of your eyes. We tried the coffee toffee and the peanut butter chocolate cookie flavors and couldn’t get enough of it!

K’Nack

We walked by the meats at K’Nack meats a few times before we couldn’t resist anymore and bought some jalapeño cheddar beef sticks to snack on as we walked around the market. But this place has much fancier meats if you’re looking for something to take home!

Gazta and Enhancements

Gazta and Enhancements has all the cheese you could ever want. And so many fun things to pair with it! Make sure to go around the corner to check out their wall of cheese accessories and gifts.

Worker B

Worker B creates skincare products using honey. And the best part? They brought some honey bees into the market with them! They’re behind a piece of glass, but it’s so cool to watch them up close – kids would love it!

Forest to Fork

Remember when I went to the mushroom farm in Wisconsin? Forest to Fork basically brings that experience right to you in St. Paul! Fresh mushrooms are grown on site, and you can even purchase a section of their space to grow some of your own! It doesn’t get much more local than that, folks.

Enjoy the Keg and Case St. Paul Market!

Open M-F 10 – 8

Saturday 9 – 9

Sunday 9 – 6
