When in Bergen, I learned one thing very quickly: Beer is expensive. So, to make our brews worth the money we made sure we were drinking them at fun spots with great ambiance. Here’s a round up of our best places to drink a beer in Bergen. Cheers!
Best places to drink a beer in Bergen Norway
Pingvinen
Pingvinen is located in the cutest neighborhood in Bergen. Try this spot for a local beer and traditional Scandinavian food.
Restaurant sky: skraperen
If you want to earn your beer, hike up Mount Ulriken to grab a drink at Restaurant sky: skraperen (or take the cable car up to the top). The views will make you want to stay for 2…or 3. Learn more about our time on Ulriken here!
Elefanten
For a lively atmosphere, check out Elefanten. This cozy bar temps you to snuggle up in one of their booths with an old school board game.
Peppes Pizza
Peppes may be the best bargain in town. After 8 pm, get a beer and any pizza for only $25. This is unheard of when a beer alone usually costs $15!
Una
This restaurant and brewery is right on the harbor in Bryggen, which means it’s good for people watching and staring at the beautiful buildings surrounding you. Una is where I had my favorite IPA of the trip!
Henrik Ol og Vinstove
Henrik has SO MANY beers on tap. And most are local. If you want variety and an energetic atmosphere, this is your place.
