Best Apostle Islands Restaurants
Wonderstate Coffee
The cutest coffee shop in Bayfield is Wonderstate Coffee! And they roast their organic coffee right in Wisconsin and all solar powered! This spot tends to get busy on holiday weekends, so just make sure to plan enough time if you plan on ordering breakfast.
Fat Radish
Our favorite restaurant in the Apostle Islands is hands down Fat Radish! If you can only go one place, go here! Located in Cornucopia, this spot is a true farm to table establishment and an amazing all-you-can-eat Friday fish fry. A fresh, delicious version of the Wisconsin classic. Our favorite fish fry ever!
ManyPenny Bistro
The number one restaurant recommendation from my Instagram followers was ManyPenny Bistro. This is a classic Bayfield breakfast establishment that is also open for lunch and dinner. Loved the cranberry wild rice bread on my sandwich!

Good Thyme
Good Thyme is your option for an upscale dinner around Bayfield. It’s located in an old house out in the country, and was another top recommended spot from my followers! The steaks and seafood looked amazing, but we were craving burgers, so we ordered a few of those. Very comparable to our favorite burger in Minneapolis, definitely recommend!
Copper Crow Distillery
Copper Crow Distillery is the first Native Owned distillery in the US! Offering all varieties of spirits and cocktails, the outdoor space here is amazing. The owner was so nice and sat and talked with us for a while giving us great recommendations for the area!
Bayfield Inn rooftop
If you’re looking great views of Lake Superior while you dine, check out Bayfield Inn rooftop. Only open during certain times, it’s a casual order-at-the-window type of spot. With awesome fish tacos!
Adventure Club Brewing
Adventure Club Brewing is a great hang out spot, especially if the weather is nice! It’s also attached to Howl Adventure Center which was our favorite store in all of Bayfield, and also rents gear!
Farmhouse: Hayloft on Madeline Island
We only stopped for an iced latte at Farmhouse: Hayloft on Madeline Island but the food there also looked AMAZING! Definitely give it a try if you have time! The best coffee you’ll get on the island.
Grampa Tony’s on Madeline Island
Also on Madeline Island is Grampa Tony’s which is a pizza joint with lots of other options. We relaxed in their outdoor space with a beer while waiting for our pizza.
South Shore Brewery
Located in Ashland WI right near Bayfield is South Shore Brewery. The best beers we tried on our trip! Also check out the record collection and games while you’re there!
Copper Trout
Copper Trout is a family owned and run establishment right in the heart of Bayfield. Northern classics are found here and I loved my steak! Plus, the friendliest host on the planet.
Corny Coffee
Corny Coffee is a quirky and fun coffee shop located in Cornucopia. We stopped here on the way home and also tried a few pastries – so good!
The Wineries on Betzold Road
Bayfield Winery and Seven Ponds Winery make up the Wineries on Betzold Road. We ordered a wine flight and sat among the vines while we listened to live music!
Sweet!
Satisfy your sweet tooth at Sweet! There’s lots of ice cream flavors to try here. Make sure to grab one for a stroll by the water!
With so many Apostle Islands restaurants to choose from, I hope this post makes things a little easier for you! Enjoy!
