Cole and I just hit our two year wedding anniversary, but many people don’t know that we have actually been together for TEN YEARS!
We started dating in high school and have been inseparable ever since. We first talked to each other our sophomore year when we had lockers right next to each other and he asked me to move my hand so I wouldn’t get my fingers smashed in his locker. Romantic, right?
Anyway, a lot has happened since then and I thought it would be fun to share the letter I wrote to him on our anniversary, along with the anniversary photos we just took with Emily Susan Kim Photography! (More on her below!) Note: These photos were taken as part of a collaboration with Emily.

This letter will never be as good as the one you write me, but I’m going to try anyway! These past 2 years have flown by, but we are already so different from the day we got married. I love life with you, and I probably don’t say it enough, so here are the 5 things I love most about you:
1.You have so much passion for everything you do. From your work, to your family, to your friends, you always give your all. This inspires me to be better everyday and I think it’s so important to have multiple things in your life that make you whole.
2. You are an amazing cook. If it wasn’t for you I would eat frozen waffles for dinner every night.
3. You are my blog guru. Let’s be real, this blogging thing isn’t easy. Sometimes I get so frustrated with the process or a piece of technology that doesn’t work. You somehow always calm me down and fix whatever is broken. You’re a crucial piece of this blog and are the best photographer I could ask for.
4. You keep me positive. You are the most humble person I know. Thank you for always reminding me what’s most important in life and that we have so much to be thankful for.
5. You’re always up for something new, and push me to try new things too. This includes team sports (which I hate), and crazy adventures when we travel. I also love that you are now as big of a broadway fan as I am 🙂

I can’t post this without a HUGE thank you to Emily, our photographer! She was absolutely amazing. I had never thought about anniversary photos before, but when she approached me with the idea I thought it would be fun to try!
Without a looming wedding, these photos had zero pressure. They were just for us and you can totally tell in the final product. Emily was such a pro at loosening us up to get the candid photos that I love. She even incorporated fun parts of our wedding day into the session, asking us to share our favorite parts of the day, how we’ve changed over the last 2 years, and humming our wedding songs in each other’s ears. Who knew these would make for such cute photos!
