Summer Hiking Essentials
1 Women’s Columbia hiking boots
My all time favorite hiking boots that I’ve had for years!
2 Patagonia baseball hat
Keep that sun out of your eyes with this go-to hat.
3 Cotopaxi fanny pack
The color block fanny pack that I always get compliments on. Holds lots of stuff and great for short trips!
4 Ray Ban Sunglasses
My favorite sunglasses for all occasions.
5 Sunglasses strap
The best for hiking, boating, kayaking, you name it! Makes sure that your glasses don’t fall off and get scratched.
6 Chaco sandals
My favorite summer sandals and great for hikes where there’s swimming involved.
7 Amazon shorts
One of my favorite shorts that are so comfy and high waisted. Love these for hiking when it’s warm!
8 Amazon shorts
My other favorite shorts from Amazon! The pocket is in the best location for your phone so it doesn’t bug you while hiking.
9 Amazon bra/tank
The perfect tank for those hot summer hikes! I wore this in Yosemite when it was over 100 degrees and it was the best.
10 Amazon tank
This tank says it’s a “dancing tank” but it’s great for hiking too! So comfortable!
11 Amazon tank
Ok last tank option! A great option if you want something with a looser fit but also keeps things airy!
12 Camelbak backpack
This 100 oz Camelbak is the best replacement for a water bottle while hiking. There are smaller versions, but love that this one has space to carry other stuff too.
13 Men’s Smartwool socks
Wool is more expensive than other materials, but it’s naturally moisture-wicking, making them great for hot and sweaty hikes! So worth the extra money.
14 Women’s Smartwool socks
Women get sweaty feet too! Wool is naturally moisture-wicking and these are my favorite brand. Plus they come in fun designs! So worth the extra money!
15 Men’s Columbia hiking boots
These are Cole’s favorite hiking boots. He’s had them for years and loves them!
16 Reusable snack containers
Our favorite light weight containers for snacks and sandwiches while on the trail. No more plastic bags!
17 First aid kit
Always need a first aid kit when hiking! This one is nice and small and has all the necessities.
18 Patagonia hat
Cole loves his trucker hats. This one is a hiking staple!
19 Binoculars
We’ve gotten very into binoculars while we hike to see even more things! This are nice and tiny for your backpack.
20 Portable charger
If you’re like me you take lots of photos and video while hiking 🙂 My favorite portable charger that houses multiple charges.
21 Carabiners
These carabiners aren’t for climbing, but are great to hook other things onto your backpack if needed.
22 Sunscreen
Mineral sunscreen is where it’s at! Mainly putting this on the list so you don’t forget sunscreen!
Happy trails! Hope this summer hiking essentials helps with your planning!
