Medora North Dakota is full of so many fun restaurants that I created a whole post about them! And it’s not just restaurants, but coffee, ice cream, and wine, too. Keep reading for my guide to Medora restaurants, and also check out my post on why you need to stay more than one night in Medora North Dakota for my full guide to this fun western town!
Pitchfork Fondue
a
Let’s talk food and drinks starting with the most insane option of them all: Pitchfork Fondue! It’s exactly what it sounds like: eating steak fondue-style off of pitchfork. If you’re visiting Medora this is 100% a must do! You can buy tickets at the Medora Musical shop downtown Medora for the dinner, and I would also recommend to get tickets to the musical for the same night as they are located at the same location. The fondue happens every night at 5:30, but get there early so you don’t have to wait in line. We got SO MUCH food and you can’t beat the steak, live music, a beer, and this view!
Farmhouse cafe
Our second favorite dining experience in Medora is the Farmhouse Cafe. This spot is cute and trendy and I don’t think that the food photos that you find on google do it justice! If you’re just driving through Medora and can only eat at one spot, go here. And try to go for breakfast if you can – it’s the best! Make sure to order the pancakes because you get chocolate syrup to put on top!
Badlands pizza and saloon
I don’t think we ever travel somewhere without trying a local pizza spot. Badlands pizza and saloon is a great spot to go if you’re hungry. If you order the 12 inch pizza, it’s basically 14 inches…we couldn’t finish it all! This place has indoor and outdoor seating, is great for groups, and has a large variety of pizzas with sandwiches and soups as well. YUM.
Boots Bar & Grill
Boots Bar & Grill is your typical bar and grill with one exception…their southwest egg rolls. OMG they are delicious!! Stop here for a beer, bar food, and if you’re lucky you’ll spot a few real cowboys! We were here on a Friday night and it was full of guys in cowboy hats. You don’t see that in MN!
Medora Uncork’d
One of the newest additions to the Medora restaurant scene is Medora Uncork’d. 2019 is the first summer it’s open, so make sure to swing in for a glass or two. The guy who runs the place was our bartender and was super knowledgable and really friendly. We ordered a bottle to share, along with the meat and cheese plate and loved it all. If you’re more hungry definitely try a flatbread, they were serving a blueberry sausage one while we were there and it looked so good!
Hidden Springs Java
Gotta get that coffee and Hidden Springs Java is the place to go. This is one cafe in town that is open year-round and even brews their own cold brew which is amazing. Grab a seat on the front porch or walk around the little shop in the back!
Marquis De Mores Ice Cream Parlor
Can you even go on a summer vacation without getting ice cream?? No, you cannot. Marquis De Mores Ice Cream Parlor makes their own ice cream on site. There’s seating room inside, otherwise I would recommend getting a cone and exploring the town!
Little Missouri Saloon
Every western town has a Saloon and the Little Missouri Saloon is one that can’t be missed! The hats hanging from the ceiling have been placed there by ranchers and cowboys for years and there was a live band playing each night we were there! Our favorite nighttime hangout spot.
Enjoy these Medora restaurants and everything else this little town has to offer! For more, see why you need to spend more than one night in Medora here.
