Must-visit places in Las Vegas

must visit places in las vegas

I was in Las Vegas for work last week and took some time at the beginning and end of the week to have some fun! I’ve been to Vegas before, so we didn’t visit a lot of the touristy spots this time around (although, what place ISN’T touristy in Vegas??). Instead, we focused on finding good food, drinks, and fun things to do in Las Vegas!

Keep reading for my must-visit places in Las Vegas!

MGM Signature – where we stayed

We stayed at the MGM Signature which is connected to the MGM Grand hotel and LOVED it. The Signature is made up of 3 high rise condo buildings and is great for staying in Vegas with a group of friends. With multiple rooms, bathrooms, living space, and kitchen, it’s so much better than your run of the mill hotel room! Each building has its own private pool as well which we took full advantage of. Book directly through their site or VRBO.

Brunch at Tableau

Looking for a fancy brunch? Tableau is a must-visit…just look at this place! We had a business brunch here one morning but I would go back in a heartbeat. Located inside the Wynn, Tableau is elegant and bright, and the food is great too! I ordered the corned beef hash and it was delicious.

50 cent beers at Bird Bar

I can’t stay fancy too long, so once we were done with work meetings, we walked over to Bird Bar inside the Flamingo. Side note – Flamingo is one of my favorite casinos because it’s so retro! The Bird Bar is right off the sidewalk and offers 50 cent beers between 5 and 6 pm. It also has beer pong and a patio right on the strip. This spot was always busy with people!

Find secret things at the Cosmopolitan

I love finding unique spots, especially in Vegas because everything is right in your face! If you want a good slice of pizza, head to the Cosmopolitan for the secret pizza spot that is literally called Secret Pizza. Just head to the 3rd floor and find the long hallway that’s covered in records being there are no signs marking the place. And if you want another unexpected experience at the Cosmo, visit the chandelier bar and ask for their special flower drink that’s not on the menu!

High Roller

The High Roller reminds me of the London Eye in London…a huge ferris wheel that takes 30 minutes to make a round and enclosed cars big enough to fit 10-15 people! This was our first activity post work-conference, so we opted for the happy hour option for $35 per person with an open bar. The High Roller was such a fun way to relax and take in the city before our night out!

Get outside Vegas

Vegas is so much fun, but it can also be a bit much if you’re there for too long! One afternoon, we rented a car through Turo (the airbnb for cars) and drove an hour outside of town to the Valley of Fire State Park. We rented a yellow convertible for the drive and it was only $67 for the day and made it so much more fun! We paid $10 to get into the park and then drove through while making stops along the way for photos and exploring. This place is UNREAL. The colors and rock formations are out of this world! Please go!

Eat noodles at Beijing Noodle No. 9

Finding good food in Vegas that doesn’t cost a crazy amount of money is harder than it may seem. After a week of searching around for such spot, we finally found Beijing Noodle No.9 located inside Cesar’s Palace. The noodles are hand made and literally melt in your mouth. Also make sure to get the soup dumplings. The best meal we had in Vegas by far!

See Absinthe

You have to see a show while in Vegas and there’s so many to choose from! We were looking for something new and unique, so we chose Absinthe (and bought our tickets day-of online). Absinthe is held inside an actual circus tent outside of Cesar’s Palace and is made up of a small, circular, center stage with about 15 rows max surrounding it. It’s so intimate, so seeing the acts up close is amazing! The shows has lots of variety, is super funny, and is a little risqué, so be prepared!

Sin City Brewing

must visit places in las vegas

There’s not many cities I visit where I don’t find a local brewery. Vegas was no exception! We visited the tiniest tap room of Sin City Brewing near the Paris hotel, and sipped on a few IPAs. Beer was average (but don’t let my opinion stop you from checking it out! I only tried one!) and people watching was above average.

Get a waffle sandwich at Bruxie

must visit places in las vegas

Bruxie always seems to have a line, but it is so worth it! I can never decide between sweet and savory for brunch, and with the famous waffle sandwiches at Bruxie I didn’t have to – LOVE. I ordered the Holy Chicken with fried chicken, egg, cheese, and bacon, and Cole ordered the BAMF which had fried chicken and Mac and cheese!

Eat instagrammable food at Jaburritos

Not going to lie, we tried Jaburritos for the main reason of photographing the food, but we also were super curious as to what sushi cupcakes tasted like. The presentation and atmosphere of Jaburritos is super fun, but if you’re looking for some really good sushi, I would go elsewhere. The mochi ice cream was really good though!

Eat more noodles at Lala Noodle

Can you tell that we had too much American food in Vegas? Apparently we were really craving noodles, so we headed to Lala Noodles in the Park MGM on our last night. We ordered the fried spring rolls and pad Thai and it was great! Highly recommend.

Neon Museum

must visit places in las vegas

I don’t write many negative reviews on here because I know different people can have different experiences at the same place. Anyways, I had super high hopes for the Neon Museum, which is a collection of vintage neon signs from Vegas’ past. It looks so fun and has history too – what more could you want?! Unfortunately our experience was dampened by poor service at the front desk, so I decided not to visit.

Drink craft cocktails at NoMad Bar

Located inside the Park MGM, the NoMad bar has the best cocktails in the city. I ordered the Nod to Nothing (gin-based drink) and the hot-lips (smokey and spicy margarita). Both were unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Please give this swanky little spot a try!

That’s a wrap on my must-visit places in Las Vegas! I hope you found something new that you’ll check out next time you’re in town!
